A New Zoom Link for our 11 AM Morning Prayer Service and Virtual Coffee Hour each Sunday:
Beginning this Sunday, Oct 4, we have a new Zoom Link for our 11 AM weekly Morning Prayer Service (link here). This link will also serve for Virtual Coffee Hour, which will begin at the conclusion of the service each week.
We hope that having one link for both worship and coffee hour will make participating in both a more seamless experience (no need to keep up with two links or change meetings). If wanting to catch up after worship, you simply remain online and, if needing to depart, you can leave the Zoom as the service concludes. We also hope this will allow us to begin coffee hour more quickly to get you to lunch or your afternoon plans earlier in the day.
Also the new link is a Zoom Meeting rather than a Zoom Webinar, which will allow you to see the faces of those joining us for worship, as well as, being able to chat with all those present or individual participants. And, please note, your video will be turned off when you enter the service so you will not be seen unless you choose to turn on your video (pajama's and bed head remain welcome!). Also, please note, everyone will be muted for the duration of the service so as not to distort the quality of sound during the service, but you will, of course, be able to unmute yourself as soon as the service ends for participating in coffee hour.
Overall, we are hoping the change will allow us to feel more connected and more like we are "in" church together, as you can actually see the congregation gathered (faces or just names if your video is not turned on). To see the congregation you simple select gallery view, and to see the service you select speaker view (both buttons are in the upper right hand corner of the screen).
Lastly, the 9 AM service which is both limited size, in-person (rsvp's required) and online will remain on Facebook Live each week.
If you have any questions about the new format or anything in our shared life, please feel free, as always, to reach out to me directly at the link below. I hope this reaches you and yours as well as possible.
Peace and Warm Friendship,
