Blessing of the Animals, Sunday, Oct 8, 11:15 AM at Pepper Rock Park (8609 Pepper Rock Park Dr, 78717):
In honor of St. Francis Feast Day, we will, once again, gather in the park to bless our animal friends and give thanks to God for the gift of creation. Please bring seating and your pet (appropriately leashed or crated) or a picture of your pet for a blessing. We will have refreshments for humans and animals alike after the service. This year we will be joined by Cuz I Matter, a local animal rescue, that will have dogs present for fostering or adoption. For more information about their work or to offer your support, click here. Please note, we will have our regular 9 AM service at the church for those preferring to worship indoors. However, there will be no Christian Ed between services, as we will be transitioning to the park.
