"Discipleship in Context: Here and Now", Wednesday Evening Lenten Suppers, Feb 25-March 25, 6:30-8 PM:
All ages are invited to join us for our annual Wednesday evening Lenten gatherings for supper, formation and worship. We will be exploring the contexts/places that Jesus bids us to follow him and serve as his heart and hands. In particular, we will consider: public advocacy, creation care, and our own neighborhood. The teaching will be led by our clergy and Theologian-in-Residence, with special guest, the Rt. Rev. Diane Jardine, the Interim Dean and President of the Seminary of the Southwest and former Bishop Suffragan of the Diocese of Los Angeles (for our last gathering on March 25). We invite you to bring a soup, salad or dessert to share for our meal, and we will have corresponding programs for youth and children (the nursery will also be available by request). Each evening will end with Compline. In place of regular Lenten programing, we will host our annual Iftar Dinner with our Muslim Friends from the Austin Dialogue Institute on March 11 (more info to follow), and we will not meet on Wednesday, March 18 due to Spring Break.
