"SOUL MODEL or How to be a Man (of God)", St. Julian's Men's Retreat with the Rev. Bill Miller, Saturday, Feb 21, 9 AM-5 PM (a day retreat format at the church):
Due to a conflict with Diocesan Council, this years Men's Retreat will be a day rather than overnight format beginning at the church. Our speaker is the Rev. Bill Miller, Vicar of St. Cecilia's Episcopal Church in Round Top, TX. He is the author of several books, including, "The Gospel According to Sam" and "The Beer Drinkers Guide to God" (to view Bill's books, click here). Bill will be drawing inspiration for the retreat from several sources, including, Duff McKagen (Guns N' Roses), Richard Rohr, and his own writing. Bill is a gifted teacher and preacher and was our own Vicar's (Miles') Youth Minister and dear friend. The morning through lunch will be spent with Bill at the church and the afternoon off campus for some fellowship and fun at Popstroke (included in cost). The cost is $35.
