Wednesday Evening Lenten Gatherings begin Feb 21, 6:30-8 PM in the Worship Space:
Building on the success of our first Wednesday Evening Lenten Program this past year, we will once again be offering a weekly gathering for a simple meal of soup, salad and bread followed by storytelling and compline. The purpose is to simply create a discipline of gathering as a family of faith during Lent for some intentional time of coming to know one another better. Like last year, following dinner, we will remain "around the table" for an intentional conversation around our own stories and lives followed by compline.
Teens will have there own table, which our Vicar, Miles, will lead, answering the same questions as the adults. After the meal, children will meet in the Green Room for an age appropriate program with Jennifer Cowles, our Lay Ministries Coordinator. The nursery will be open for infants and toddlers. We hope whole families can joins us, as there will be something for everyone.
St. Julian's will provide the meal for the first Wednesday, Feb 21, and we will invite those who come to sign up to bring food for the following Wednesdays. We will not meet the week of Spring Break (March 14). Otherwise, we will gather on Feb 21, Feb 28, March 7, and March 21. Please RSVP with the number and age of those attending by emailing Miles (just to be sure we have plenty of food). We hope all will join us.
