St. Julian's Feast Day Reflections
During "Open Space" at our celebration of St. Julian's Feast Day on May 5, I invited the community to reflect on how we, as a family of faith, incarnate what Julian describes as God's endless love in her seminal spiritual work, "Revelations of Divine Love." Below is what some of those among us wrote in response.
St. Julian of Norwich Episcopal Church is:
A gentle shepherd to lead us
Loyal friends who are generous in their listening
Freedom to sing a solo that I felt called to do
Community
God
Music
All is well! I experience it here
The love of God oozes throughout this place
I love the intergenerational community we share. My children and I have many "mothers" and "fathers" here who bless us
I feel God's love made manifest in the celebrating and fun we have together
St. Julian's gives us endless love and focus to serve God
We see how much we can do as a community harnessing our time, treasure and talent to grow in relationship
What an inspired list! I am so grateful for those who shared their brief reflections during our all things "Julian" celebration. If you would like to add your thoughts to the list email me, and I would be happy to do so.
Peace and Warm Friendship,
